"They say 'life imitates art,' and if that's true then what kind of art are we imitating when we've made habit the routine of having our meals delivered to our doors or wrapped in plastic, disconnected from the life and livelihoods responsible for our nourishment? I've been a private chef for nearly a decade and when this question was first posed to me I realized there is an art to gathering the highest quality food and transforming that into the most nourishing meals possible. And my realization didn't end there. I was presenting people with what they would use to construct their lives, with the obvious influence I have being on their physical growth and body-maintenance. Even further is the effect my work has on the energy that others need to think their thoughts, to love their families, to accomplish what they accomplish everyday... It comes from what I do. It is this art we want to practice through dumboLUV." |
